He had intensive training on Advanced Inventory Management Control at Slim-Stock System Consultant (UK) and Puma Logistics Centre in Nuremberg (Germany), Effective Material Handling & Physical Distribution, Warehouse Control & Admin, Systematic Storage & Planning, and MRP II Inventory Control Management at Institute of Purchasing & Supply (UK), Singapore Institute of Management, Malaysian Institute of Management, and Peat Marwick & CTTI Consultant (UK). Has also attended Senior Managers Residential program for Operations & Logistics Management by National University of Singapore. Dato’ Nachiappan is a Diploma holder from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and Malaysian Institute of Management. On top of that, he holds a BBA in Transport & Logistics Management from RMIT University, Australia, MBA in Logistics Management from RMIT Australia, Doctorate Business Administration (DBA) from University of Newcastle Australia and Research title “Supply Chain Management as a source of firm’s Competitive Advantage” completed by 2013 (partial – Graduate Certificate Business Research). And currently in pursue of PhD in Management, MSU (Malaysian Science University) Research Title: Relationship between Supply Chain Management, Strategic Orientation and Organizational Performance in Automotive Industry in Malaysia” expected to be completed in 2019. He is a member of the Chartered IPS (UK), British Production and Inventory Control Society (UK) and Institute of Logistics & Distribution Management, and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Logistics, Logistics & Custom Central Committee member of the “Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers” [FMM]. Dato’Nachiappan conducts regular in-house training in these areas, which he is specialize in, and present papers in supply chain conferences and workshop both locally and abroad, and constantly engaged with industry and higher learning institution in relation to knowledge sharing through workshops, intensive supply chain programs for middle management team. Dato’ Nachiappan also represents the industry through FMM as a committee member for Logistics & Customs portfolio, representing Manufacturing industry within the supply chain & Logistics functional expert since 2002, and has participated in various dialogues with the government bodies and other industry groupings. In 2015 Dato’ Nachiappan has represented Malaysian Government through FMM in presenting working paper (related to customs and logistics ) in the APEC Conference 2015 in Beijing. In the knowledge industry, Dato’ Nachiappan has been an active participant in sharing knowledge through as Part-time lecturer for foreign & local universities, (Greenwich University, Bolton University, UUM, UTM and CIPS UK) and Corporate SCM Training for MNC and GLCs.
